My sixth grade class 2010

This class is so horrible, I don't even know where to begin. They are the most immature students that I have ever had. They don't listen to directions, they can't stay in their seats, and can't shut their mouth, even if their life depends on it. Today one of my boy students said to me, "Mrs. Karamanukyan, isn't it funny how girls have four lips." Can you believe that. I don't think what he said is funny, I think that these kids need to be controlled better. They know way to much for their age and they try to act like they are older and they are so cool. I have one girl in my class that already has been in Juvi. The worst part is that her own mother sent her there, because she couldn't control her own 11 year old. She is definitly a piece of work. She acts like she is this little tuff cookie, that no one can mess with, but deep down she is just a lost child with no love. I had the students write about an event in their life that they remember and it could have been a good or bad experience. I had 4 students write about a time that they were caught shoplifting something. I was so shocked that they would even share that with anyone. The kids these days have no shame. What has happened to our society. I can't believe the type of students that I have to deal with day in and day out. It's so funny how the everyone expects teachers to work miracles. I think that the blame is not the schools, its the parents. We have to take a step back and see what the parents are doing wrong.

One of my sixth grade students, asks to use the bathroom. Of course I let him go, he comes back in 10 minutes and taps me on my shoulder and whispers to me, that he had an accident and turns around; He had poop all over the outside of his pants. I couldn't believe it. It literally looked like he pooped on himself while he was still standing. After I sent him to the office; I later find out that the whole bathroom stall was covered in diarrhea poop. After all that the student ends up telling my that his mom gave him laxatives and sent him to school. How humiliating this could be for a child. As a parent how can you give your child Laxatives and send him to school. Thank god that my students are nice this year and they didn't make fun of him. This could have followed him for the rest of his life.

I can't believe some of my students! So today my student's from last year make up a game and pass it down to my student's in the current sixth grade. Get this, the game is called, "Slap Ass Friday". So the student's basically go around slapping each others butts! The best part is that they don't think anything was wrong with that. These students shock me more and more each day! I don't know how many times I can say don't touch each other!!!

So today three of my students get caught with BB guns! I couldn't believe it! One of the them was my best student. Kids these days....what were they thinking. The worst part is that one of their friends told on them. Now a days you really can't trust anyone. When they got caught; they were crying their eyes out! Reality check; if it looks like a weapon, feels like a weapon, then its a weapon. They all know they shouldn't have it in school, but still they choose to do the wrong thing. My good student said that, if his mom hears about this, she will punish him by not feeding him! What kind of punishment is that??? Must be a way to save money or something, because I could never do something like that to my kids. One of my other students said that he gets punished with a belt. I have to now report all this. I can't have these things on my shoulders.

I just heard that one of my girl students from last year is bullying some of the new kids in her class; one of the things that she did that I thought was shocking is that she lifted one of the other girls and put them in the trash can. One of the other students had to help the poor girl out of the trash can; middle school kids are so mean to one another. The worst part is that parents support this kind of bad behavior and they think its funny! Parents have such a big influence on children, yet as a teacher I have such a hard time getting parents to open their eyes and realize what a huge part they have in my students lives.

One of my new sixth graders started bullying a seventh grader today! He actually pushed him down to grab something out of his hand! WOW these kids are to much now a days! What ever happend to kids just talking things out! Get this his Nick name is Pacioma! He is in the sixth grade and already been kicked out of two schools for fighting and bullying! What makes people think he will be different here....makes me wonder!
